Turn Your Expertise into Performance

Your employees completed the training. Can they actually do it?

CoachTrainingAI turns the knowledge your organization already owns into interactive AI coaching that develops and measures real-world competency.

Training isn't complete when someone consumes information. Training is complete when someone can demonstrate competency.

Competency analytics across knowledge, application and judgment

The problem

Organizations don't suffer from a shortage of information.

They suffer from a shortage of consistent application of it. The manual exists. The SOP exists. The methodology exists. Knowing something and performing it under real-world conditions are entirely different outcomes.

Today's model

  • Create the course
  • Deliver the video
  • Record the completion
  • Report 94% complete
  • Forget

The competency model

  • Define what someone must be able to do
  • Coach through questions, not answers
  • Practice under realistic pressure
  • Score knowledge, application and judgment
  • Certify against your standard

The difference

We don't build an answer machine. We build a coach.

Generic AI

Employee: How should I deal with an angry customer?

AI: Here are seven steps…

The employee received information. Nothing was demonstrated.

CoachTrainingAI

A customer has been billed twice, says this is the third problem, and is demanding a refund. What would you say first?

— employee responds —

Why did you choose that response?

— employee explains —

Which part of your service policy applies here?

AI asks. The employee thinks. The AI probes. The employee improves.

The learning loop

Ten steps between knowing and being able.

  1. 01

    Learn

    Understand the relevant material.

  2. 02

    Explain

Demonstrate understanding in their own words.

  3. 03

    Practice

    Apply the knowledge.

  4. 04

    Decide

    Respond to situations requiring judgment.

  5. 05

    Role-play

    Experience realistic scenarios.

  6. 06

    Reflect

Explain why they chose their actions.

  7. 07

    Improve

    Receive targeted coaching.

  8. 08

    Repeat

    Practice areas of weakness.

  9. 09

    Demonstrate

    Show competency.

  10. 10

    Certify

    Reach the organization's established standard.

Product architecture

Upload → Build → Coach → Measure → Improve

01

Upload

Manuals, SOPs, videos, presentations, policies, scripts, methodologies, courses and certifications.

02

Build

The platform drafts knowledge objectives, competencies, behaviors, scenarios, assessments and success criteria. Your administrators review and approve.

03

Coach

Every learner gets an interactive AI training coach that teaches, questions, quizzes, challenges, simulates and reinforces.

04

Measure

Not “course complete.” Knowledge, application, judgment, communication and escalation — scored separately.

05

Improve

The system targets each person's weaknesses instead of making everyone repeat the same module.

Measurement

Give leaders decisions, not LMS statistics.

A CEO shouldn't have to settle for “97% completed the course.” Ask whether your frontline managers are ready to execute the new retention strategy — and get an answer that distinguishes understanding from application from judgment under pressure.

The story behind CoachTrainingAI

A 40-Year Friendship, One New Question

Berry Fowler and Lorne C. Ray first met in the early 1980s on the franchise trail, when both were building startup franchise businesses and traveling to industry shows across the country to promote their respective companies. What began as a professional connection quickly became a friendship that has endured for more than four decades.

Through the years, they have watched a lot of life go by—building businesses both together and independently, pursuing new ideas, experiencing successes and setbacks, and continually challenging one another to think bigger and become better. When artificial intelligence emerged as one of the most transformative technologies of their lifetime, they found it both fascinating and troubling.

What if AI were used not to do the learning for people, but to help people learn better?

That shared conviction became the vision behind CoachTrainingAI—combining Berry's lifetime of experience in education and professional coaching with Lorne's work in artificial intelligence and responsible AI. After more than 40 years of friendship, their newest venture brings them back to something they have always done for one another: ask better questions, challenge each other's thinking, and help people become better at what they do.

Meet the Team

Co-Founders

Two complementary missions: help people learn and grow, and keep human judgment at the center of AI.

Berry Fowler

Co-Founder | Learning & Coaching Pioneer | Creator of CoachBerry AI

“Focus on the learning process and on building a more effective training system.”

That principle guides everything we build at CoachTrainingAI.

Berry Fowler has spent his career pursuing one powerful question:

How do we help people learn, grow, and achieve better results?

That pursuit has taken him across education, professional coaching, and now artificial intelligence.

Berry is the founder of Sylvan Learning Centers, where he helped pioneer a personalized approach to supplemental education. He later founded the Fowler International Academy of Professional Coaching (FIA), developing a coaching methodology centered on asking powerful questions, creating clarity, taking purposeful action, and establishing accountability.

Most recently, Berry created CoachBerry AI, bringing decades of coaching methodology and human-development experience into the age of artificial intelligence.

Those three worlds—learning, coaching, and AI—come together in CoachTrainingAI.

From Giving Answers to Developing Capability

Berry's coaching philosophy is built around a deceptively simple principle: most artificial intelligence is designed to give people answers. CoachTrainingAI takes a different approach: use AI to help people think, practice, apply, improve, and ultimately demonstrate what they can do.

Instead of replacing human thinking, the goal is to strengthen it.

A Lifetime of Learning—Reimagined for AI

Berry's experience provides a unique foundation for the CoachTrainingAI vision. Sylvan demonstrated the power of personalized learning. FIA demonstrated the power of structured coaching. CoachBerry AI demonstrated how coaching methodology can be extended through artificial intelligence.

CoachTrainingAI brings those ideas together at scale.

The Philosophy Behind the Platform

Berry's Fowler Coaching System emphasizes three essential elements of meaningful development:

CLARITY → ACTION → ACCOUNTABILITY

And the three keys to success:

Dreams we have. Plans we make. Actions we take.

CoachTrainingAI extends that philosophy into a new generation of learning:

LEARN → THINK → PRACTICE → APPLY → DEMONSTRATE → IMPROVE → MASTER

The objective isn't simply to help someone complete training. It's to help them become capable of doing what the training was intended to teach.

Building the Next Chapter

CoachTrainingAI represents a natural evolution of Berry Fowler's work—from helping individual students learn, to helping professional coaches develop others, to exploring how artificial intelligence can scale human expertise.

The mission is ambitious but simple: use AI not to replace what people know—but to help them transfer what they know to others.

Lorne C. Ray

Co-Founder | AI Strategist & Author | Founder, AI Safe Foundation

“AI should expand human capability, not eliminate human responsibility.”

That principle shapes every design decision at CoachTrainingAI.

Lorne C. Ray is an AI strategist, author, and technology innovator focused on one of the defining challenges of the artificial intelligence era:

How do we harness the extraordinary capabilities of AI while keeping human judgment, responsibility, and purpose at the center?

As founder of the AI Safe Foundation, Lorne's work focuses on helping individuals, families, organizations, and leaders understand artificial intelligence and approach it thoughtfully and responsibly.

He is the author of three books addressing AI and its implications from different perspectives: AI Careful Thinking, The Tower and the Cross, and The AI Safe Home.

His broader work has included developing AI platforms and frameworks that combine technology with clearly defined principles, safeguards, and human-centered objectives. His background reflects an emphasis on translating complex ideas about artificial intelligence into practical systems people can understand and use.

Making AI Understandable—and Useful

Lorne's approach to artificial intelligence begins with an important distinction: AI should expand human capability, not eliminate human responsibility. That philosophy is fundamental to CoachTrainingAI.

Organizations don't necessarily need their employees to become AI experts. They need a practical way to apply AI to the expertise, knowledge, processes, and intellectual property they already possess.

CoachTrainingAI turns that concept into a business platform: Don't start by asking what AI knows. Start with what YOU know.

From AI Adoption to Expertise Transfer

Lorne recognized a larger opportunity emerging from today's AI revolution. Every organization possesses valuable knowledge—training programs, methodologies, operating procedures, sales processes, leadership principles, institutional experience, and the accumulated expertise of its best people.

The challenge is transferring that knowledge effectively. CoachTrainingAI is designed around a different question:

“What do your best people know that you wish everyone in your organization knew how to do?”

The Vision Behind CoachTrainingAI

Lorne brings the AI strategy and commercialization vision to CoachTrainingAI: transforming artificial intelligence from something organizations believe they must learn into something they can use to scale what they already know.

EXPERTISE → AI COACH → PRACTICE → PERFORMANCE → ACCOUNTABILITY → MASTERY

Rather than building another chatbot that simply answers questions, CoachTrainingAI is designed around a more consequential objective: develop human capability. That means using AI to help people think, practice, make decisions, encounter realistic scenarios, improve their performance, and demonstrate competency.

A Human-Centered Approach to Artificial Intelligence

Across his work, Lorne has emphasized structured safeguards, responsible implementation, clear objectives, and systems designed around the people they are intended to serve. His previous work has also included developing AI initiatives that combine carefully defined source material with intentional safeguards against inaccurate or inappropriate outputs.

That perspective shapes an important principle behind CoachTrainingAI:

The most valuable AI isn't necessarily the AI that knows the most. It's the AI that helps people make better use of what they know.

For businesses, coaches, consultants, educators, trainers, and organizations, that changes the AI conversation. Instead of asking, “How do we become an AI company?” CoachTrainingAI asks, “How can AI scale the expertise that already makes your organization valuable?”

Author and AI Thought Leader

Through AI Careful Thinking, The Tower and the Cross, and The AI Safe Home, Lorne has explored artificial intelligence from the perspectives of careful thinking, faith and technology, and responsible AI use within the home.

Together with his work through the AI Safe Foundation, these efforts reflect his broader mission: helping people move beyond the excitement and fear surrounding artificial intelligence toward informed, purposeful, and responsible adoption.

For CoachTrainingAI, that expertise brings an important dimension to the leadership team—the ability to look beyond what AI can do and continually ask what AI should do to create meaningful human and organizational outcomes.

Building the Next Generation of AI-Powered Learning

CoachTrainingAI brings together two complementary areas of expertise:

Berry Fowler

Decades of experience in education, professional coaching, questioning, action, and accountability.

Lorne C. Ray

AI strategy, responsible implementation, product vision, and the business model for transforming expertise into scalable AI-powered coaching.

Together, the objective is bigger than building another AI application. It is to create an infrastructure through which human expertise can be captured, transferred, practiced, and multiplied.
